The countries that are briefed in the following list do not need to have visa to visit Malta for up to 90 days: Germany, Andorra, Argentine, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Cyprus, Korea, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, United States of America, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Netherlands, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, Rumania, San Marino, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Uruguay, the Vatican. The countries that do not appear in this list must ask for a visa, given by the Immigrate Police.

Visa order

If your country does not appear in the previous list, you must contact the Maltese embassy or consulate in your country to complete the visa request form. If there’s not an embassy or consulate, it is advisable to get in contact with the Maltese honorary consul, which in spite of lacking authority to process and/or to send visas can star the necessary procedures with the Immigrate Police.
In case of not being able to contact with a Maltese diplomatic representative, is due to enter the Web page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malta and download the text file with the visa request form, complete it and send it by fax. Visa requests take approximately a 15 days process.
